Senior DevOps Engineer

Beetroot is partnering with a forward-thinking product company to find an experienced DevOps Engineer who thrives in small, empowered teams and wants to shape infrastructure that can scale globally. Our client is a fast-growing SaaS company on a mission to transform how information is managed, accessed, and secured. Built around a vision of innovation and agility, they’ve already validated their solution using lean and Agile methodologies, and are now scaling their platform to deliver even more impact.

You’ll be working directly with their CTO and a highly skilled team of engineers, building the next-generation infrastructure behind a solution designed to disrupt how businesses manage complex data ecosystems.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in designing, building, and securing the cloud-native infrastructure that powers their core product. This is a role for someone who loves to lead through doing — and thrives in ownership-driven environments.

What you'll do in this role  

• Design and own cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and Azure with a focus on scalability, security, and automation
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code to streamline deployments and accelerate delivery
• Build internal tooling to ease product deployment and environment management across various ecosystems
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery readiness
• Collaborate closely with product developers and the CTO to align infrastructure with evolving product strategy
• Maintain documentation and drive DevOps best practices across the engineering team
• Stay updated on the latest in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and automation — and bring those insights to life in production

We're looking for

• A solid background in cloud infrastructure, with hands-on experience architecting and operating in AWS and Azure
• Proven track record working with Kubernetes, Docker, and container-based deployments
• Strong experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript for automation and scripting
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI) and deployment workflows
• Experience designing secure, resilient infrastructure for SaaS platforms
• A strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work autonomously while communicating effectively with the team
• Enthusiasm for working in a mission-driven team with big ideas and lean execution

How to knock our socks off

• Experience with both multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure setups
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and observability stacks
• Background in regulated or data-sensitive environments (e.g., healthcare, finance)
• Contributions to open-source DevOps tools or infrastructure design
• Naming five or more dishes that include beetroot besides borshch
