QA Engineer — VITU Project

About the Project:

We are working on an advanced information system designed to support document workflows and services used by automotive dealership centers.

Our system currently covers up to 80% of the dealership market in California. The wide range of services offered sets us far ahead of our competitors. The platform integrates with various government and private services related to registration, compliance, and information processing. It also offers extensive capabilities for integrating with our own service ecosystem.

The supported product consists of two main components:

• Portal — a web interface used in dealerships (maintained by a Java development team)
• Backend — tools and services used by support teams, auditors, accountants, and management.

Key backend modules include:

• Billing — supports finance and client management
• Backoffice — the core application for audit and support teams
• Shipping — handles license plate and registration delivery operations

Additionally, we are developing new solutions involving image recognition (automated audits), cloud technologies, and blockchain.

Tools & Technologies:Jira + QMetry, Confluence, DevTools, DBeaver, Soap UI, Postman, Sourcetree, GitBucket

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
• Solid understanding of client-server application architecture and hands-on experience testing such systems
• Knowledge of SOAP and REST API testing (using Postman, SOAP UI)
• Experience working with Chrome DevTools
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence
• Practical experience applying test design techniques to verify complex business logic
• English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Responsibilities:

• Perform web and API testing (web testing is the priority)
• Create and maintain test documentation
• Conduct functional and regression testing, and validate business logic
• Analyze business requirements and work closely with U.S.-based business analysts and managers
• Identify, document, and report defects with clarity and precision
• Actively participate in discussions, offering constructive input and maintaining a positive, solution-oriented attitude
• Learn and apply new technologies and tools to improve testing efficiency
• Contribute to improving the overall quality and stability of the product

Team & Collaboration

You’ll be working in a compact and highly skilled team consisting of:

• 6 Software Engineers
• 1 QA Engineer (that’s who you’ll be collaborating with)
• 2 DevOps Engineers

The development team is self-organized and works closely together without unnecessary bureaucracy. Product management is handled on the client side in the U.S., so your focus remains fully on quality, technical solutions, and delivery — not on meetings or micromanagement.

Growth Opportunities:

You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of QA processes across several small but dynamic projects. While there is no formal lead position, you’ll have real influence on product quality — from shaping test strategies and choosing tools, to directly contributing to the development of new features and products.
