Join Intellias Global Chess Tournament for Tech Professionals in the Metaverse

Global technology company Intellias has announced the Intelligent Chess Challenge, the first chess tournament for tech professionals hosted in the metaverse. The event will take place on November 15–16, 2025, and will bring together 1,000 participants from across Asia, Europe, and the Americas for two days of competition.

The Intelligent Chess Challenge reflects values shared by both chess and technology: skill, logic, and strategic thinking. These values define the modern tech community and drive AI-empowered innovation.

Chess has long been part of the Intellias culture. This year marks the 11th edition of the company’s annual chess tournament. Previously held locally, both offline and online, the event is now expanding globally — and into the metaverse.

The Intelligent Chess Challenge will consist of two stages. On the first day, participants will compete on Chess.com — the largest online chess platform — in nine rounds of rapid chess using the Swiss system. The top 120 players will qualify for the final stage (held on the second day), during which they will play another nine rounds in the metaverse.

Participation is open to professionals working in any role within tech companies — including engineering, HR, marketing, or management — as well as software engineers employed in non-tech companies. The tournament is free of charge, but all applications will be reviewed and approved to ensure participants meet eligibility criteria.

Winners of the tournament will receive Amazon gift cards: $500 for the champion and $250 each for two runners-up.

Registration is open until November 6 at  https://chess.intellias.com/?utm_source=media&utm_medium=poland&utm_campaign=chess_tournament2025
