The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join its team for working with our customer from the UK. 

The customer is a company that offers data-driven solutions for people, risk and capital management. Leveraging the global vision and local expertise of colleagues across 140 countries and markets, it helps to sharpen the strategy, improve organizational resilience, motivate people and maximize performance. 

The project is focused on re-platforming the vPlace solution onto Azure AVD. This involves ensuring the service is effectively operable, integrating the solution with our deployment, observability, and operational support systems to maintain seamless functionality and performance. 

Tech stack on the project: Pulumi, Azure,Datadog. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborating with the team to increase their skills and capacity to complete the re-platforming project.  
  • Implementing and managing automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the vPlace platform.
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.  
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, testing, and production environment.   

Must-haves: 

  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role such as DevOps for 3+ years.  
  • Experience of running 24x7 services in a public cloud, ideally Azure.  
  • Technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop.  
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, including best practices for monitoring, scaling, and security.  
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or similar tools.  
  • Familiarity with Pulumi is highly desirable. 
  • Experience running production systems i.e. deployment strategies, disaster recovery, automation.  
  • Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership of projects.  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  •  Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
