About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a Network Engineer with strong experience in datacenter environments and a solid foundation in networking technologies, combined with basic programming and scripting skills.

This role involves working with SONiC-based infrastructure, contributing to network automation, and collaborating closely with DevOps teams to transition from manual to code-driven configurations.

Requirements:

Core Networking & SONiC

• Experience with SONiC programmatic iterative configuration (gNMI/YANG, SWSS) – required
• Experience with SONiC base configuration (L2, MC-LAG, LAG/port-channel, BGP, BFD, etc.) – preferred

Programming & Scripting

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) – required
• Experience with systems programming languages (C, C++, Golang, Rust, etc.) – preferred (stronger experience is a plus)

Systems & Infrastructure

• Linux administration experience (bash, systemd, system navigation) – preferred
• Virtual networking experience (VXLAN) – preferred
• AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect) – nice to have

Networking Tools & Platforms

• Palo Alto firewall experience – preferred
• FRR experience – preferred
• OpenGear experience – nice to have

English level: Upper intermediate

Responsibilities:

SONiC Programmatic Configuration

• Programmatic iterative configuration of SONiC switches (YANG/gNMI, SWSS, etc.)
• Expected experience/abilities:
• Functionality will ultimately be written in Golang; the expectation is to identify, document, and demonstrate interface functionality for implementation by the team
• Ability to implement CRUD/CRD functionality in Golang as a library/module is a plus but not required
• Contribution to virtual networking control plane is a strong plus

SONiC Base Configuration

• Base configuration of SONiC switches:
