Senior .NET Developer — E-commerce Platform

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer for a long-term project for a Fortune 500 company and global provider of industrial solutions.
The project is a custom e-commerce platform built on Commercetools, .NET Core, PostgreSQL and microservices, running on Azure App Service.The platform is integrated with multiple external systems, including SAP, Salsify and payment systems. The core e-commerce functionality comes from Commercetools, while custom microservices extend its functionality and provide additional integrations and business logic.The role is approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop composable commerce solutions integrated with enterprise ERP, CRM, and data platforms, including SAP, Salsify, and payment systems.
• Build and maintain backend applications and integration services using .NET and C#, following cloud-native and distributed application architecture principles.
• Develop distributed application services and service-to-service communication patterns for reliable integration between enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain APIs, middleware, and integration components supporting order processing, pricing, customer information, and data synchronization between Commercetools and connected enterprise platforms.
• Work on new features and improvements, including warehouse management, brand onboarding, and integrations with new systems.
• Investigate and resolve current technical and functional issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of professional experience developing enterprise software applications and integration solutions.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of .NET and C#, including experience with cloud-native and distributed systems.
• Experience with Azure App Service.
• Experience building integrations between different systems and working with APIs.
• Good understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work independently, organize your own work, and take ownership of tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Commercetools or other e-commerce platforms.
• Experience with Next.js or another modern frontend framework.
• Experience with SAP, Salsify, payment systems, or other enterprise platforms.
• Experience with GitHub Actions / GitHub Pipelines.
