About the role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead QA to join the dynamic team. The candidate will be responsible for leading the testing efforts, ensuring the quality and reliability of the software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required skills:

— Proven experience in leading testing teams and managing testing activities.

— Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Quality Center.

— Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.

— Familiarity with Agile and/or DevOps practices.

— Strong understanding and creation of software testing concepts, methodologies, test plans, cases, and best practices.

— Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

— Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

— Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

— Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

— Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.

Will be a plus:

— Experience with Playwright using TypeScript is desirable.

— Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

— Lead the testing team to ensure timely and effective execution of testing activities.

— Develop test strategies, plans, and cases based on project requirements and specifications.

— Coordinate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and requirements.

— Assign tasks to test team members and ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.

— Conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of improvement in testing processes.

— Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

— Perform test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting as necessary.

— Communicate the test progress, results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.

— Participate in project meetings, reviews, and retrospectives to provide testing insights and recommendations.

— Evaluate and implement best practices for testing automation, test management, and quality assurance.
