We’re now looking for a Chief Technology Officer for one of our businesses — PawChamp (full-time in Kyiv or Warsaw).
The PawChamp team is building a mobile app and web platform for dog owners, already used by300K+ users worldwide. The content is created together with professional dog trainers. Since launch, the team has shipped 16 product updates, released 18+ courses and programs with experts, and localized the app into English and Spanish — with plans to add 15 more languages by the end of 2026.
PawChamp has an average rating of4.6 in the US. The app is available in 173 countries on both iOS and Android, and includes an integrated AI companion — Pawchie — available 24/7. It responds instantly, remembers context (breed, age, behavioral history), and provides fast, personalized solutions to users. The team actively works with AI, embraces technically complex challenges, and believes that with an experienced CTO, they can grow even faster.
— Scale the engineering team, serve as a technical role model, and act as a strategic partner to the business. — Together with the team, design a reliable product architecture aligned with modern engineering practices (xOps culture — Dev, QA, Data, etc., Agile, XP, GRASP, 12-factor app). — Initiate new technical solutions ensuring 24/7 platform availability for users. — Influence business decisions and contribute to moving the company from mid- to late-stage. — Build a world-class Ukrainian product used globally.
— A strong team of 15 engineers. — A proven tech stack: GCP, k8s (GKE), Helm, MySQL, Postgres, BigQuery, Redis, MongoDB, Google Pub/Sub, Terraform, Ansible, PHP (legacy), Go, Python, JS, TS, Swift, Kotlin. — A product-led mindset. — Expertise and support from tech leaders across the SKELAR ecosystem.
— Deep understanding and ability to design complex, large-scale systems from scratch (System Design). — Experience leading engineering teams and strong tech leadership skills. — Confident project management and crisis management abilities.
